I am just a little thing. Commonly called a Shetland Sheepdog or Sheltie for short. Life
has not been kind to me but as most Shelties will tell you, we are a resilient lot! I was
used as a breeder and then when my usefulness ended, I was given up. The best part
is that the good folks at TriState Collie Rescue took me in!! My foster mom has worked
really hard with me to let me know that humans are good and that there are kind people
that really care about me as a sentient creature. I would love to have another
companion dog that can help to build my confidence. Plus, I’ve learned how much fun it
is to play with other dogs. Since I can startle easily, a fenced in yard is the safest for me
so I can be allowed to run and play. And cats don’t bother me one bit. Kids are ok too as
long as they understand I am still learning and gaining confidence. I am working really
hard to overcome my past and be a good girl! Are you the one that will help me finally
live my dream of being loved?!
