Choosing to add a pet to your family is a big step. Pets add lots of laughter, fun, and companionship to our lives, but they are also a big responsibility. There are many factors to consider before adopting a dog, such as your lifestyle, personality, financial situation, and housing situation. If you’re considering adopting a dog, you may want to ask yourself a few questions:
If you’ve answered these questions and feel that adding one of our dogs to your family is the next step, please read our adoption procedures below and fill out our adoption application. Also, take a look at the dogs in our program, noting their designation (e.g., Under Assessment, Medical Hold, Adoptable, or Pending Adoption). TSCR is constantly processing intakes and adoption applications, so a dog that is listed on our website may be adopted by the time your application is approved. Don’t worry! We’ll continue to work with you to find your next family member.
Although Collies and Shelties are generally sweet-natured dogs, their dispositions can range from extremely gentle and laid-back to playful and rambunctious. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and checked for other health problems prior to adoption. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $125 – $550, depending on the age and health of the individual dog.
