About Us

Who We Are

TSCR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue headquartered in Ohio. We are volunteer- and foster-based and provide services in the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Our rescue provides all veterinary care, housing, assessment, and general training for owner-surrendered, breeder-released, stray, and neglected dogs.

Our basic board comprises a Director, CFO/Treasurer, Secretary, and 2 Regional Managers. Running an organization this size certainly takes more than 5 individuals, and we have several department chairs and committees that are always looking for volunteers. We have a use for almost any skill set, so if you would like to get involved, please reach out via the Contact button in the menu or submit a Volunteer Application. We welcome and can always use the help!

How Does TSCR Obtain Its Rescues?

Rescue dogs come from a variety of sources and as a result of varied circumstances. It would be impossible to list them all, but below are a few:

  • The dog has ended up in a shelter or Humane Society.
  • A veterinary office reaches out for help.
  • A dog is being retired from a breeding program.
  • A familial situation arises and an owner needs to surrender.
  • A dog’s health changes and the current living situation is no longer optimal.
  • The dog is being listed on Craigslist, Facebook, Hoobly, or another form of social media and needs help.

In whatever way the dog is obtained, he or she gets all of the medical attention, assessment, and training needed to be a wonderful companion pet in the right home.

TSCR does understand that life happens and circumstances change. Many times, the most responsible thing to do is release a pet to a rescue. We do appreciate this selfless act of kindness and placing the dog’s needs before our own wants. We will be glad to provide updates through the rescue, but never release information on surrendering or adoptive families.
