About Colt

I am Colt. And right off the bat I will tell you that I cannot and will not go in a crate. I do not care for small or confined areas as I long for wide open places. I am a very smart and determined fellow and can figure things out pretty quickly. I just need to have my smarts directly appropriately. Enough about me! My new person should be pretty dog savvy to direct my smarts and continue teaching me to be a good Collie citizen. I absolutely love people and will reward you with sweet kisses and soft eyes. Other dogs are super fun but I can be the only dog because in my mind, that just means I get all your attention! How wonderful would that be! It’s just those tight spaces that cause me some claustrophobic (big word for a youngster, I know!). It doesn’t mean I am a bad dog ‘cuz I’m not. I will be the light of your life if you let me.

I need some rudimentary training like how to be a gentleman on a leash. Just one look at and you can see my kindness shining through.  If you have little children, I probably would not be the best Collie for you. I tend to get a little overprotective of their well-being. So young adults, teenagers would be best for me. I try soooo hard to be the best boy. Adopt me soon as I really miss being part of a pack..or with my own family!!
