About Brandy

Meet Brandy! This 5-year-old Sable Rough Collie cutie is just as sweet as she can be! She’s her foster mom’s little shadow, always wanting to be nearby no matter what. We’re know she’s going to be just as devoted to her forever family!

Brandy loves humans and has been very friendly with all of the adults she’s met. When she went to the vet’s office for her check-up, she greeted everyone with tail wags and an adorable ask for attention! She does great with kids, too. If you’re willing to show Brandy some love, then you’ve got a friend for life!

Brandy is friendly with other dogs, too. She’s enjoyed playing with the resident dog in her foster home. We think she’d do well with a dog sibling (or two!) as long as she’s fed separately, just so she doesn’t have to worry about them taking her food. She’d also be fine as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of attention from her people. And as long as she’s walked several times a day, Brandy doesn’t have to have a physical fence at her forever home.

Brandy was born with a left eye that never fully developed. She probably doesn’t have sight in that eye, but it doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. However, we can’t say the same about thunderstorms—Brandy is NOT a fan! But wearing her thundershirt and getting reassurance from her humans really helps her to weather scary storms.

Brandy is fully house- and crate-trained, and she’s an absolute pro with her obedience training. She even pees on command! Her leash walking skills are already pretty good, too, but she’s working on getting even better. Brandy is motivated by treats, praise, and affection, so if there’s anything else that you want to teach her, we’re sure that she’ll learn it in no time.
