About Sandi

Sandi is a playful, exuberant, friendly, affectionate, high-energy puppy (estimate around 12 months old as of 10/23/22) – she wants to play with everybody (people and dogs). She is also a big girl – 65lb as of 8/15/22, and already the height of my other mature collies (75 – 80lb). She is confident and assertive (may have some alpha tendencies – she has managed to persuade my older male dogs to give up chews, etc.), but she is not aggressive and just wants everyone to play. She is very high energy and gets bored easily (and will then start looking for something to chew).
She has had a tragic and turbulent past and we are still working on some behaviors – she is not fully housetrained (although doing better with a stable routine and frequent outings), she is a surfer (and due to her height, she can reach most surfaces), and she like to give hugs (and again due to her height, she is as tall as many people when standing on her hind legs).
She has been spayed, is up to date on shots, and heartworm negative (as of 8/15/22). She has an umbilical hernia that the vet says does not require further attention.
Sandi is an absolute pleasure, but she is also quite demanding right now. She will thrive with an active family (ideally with a similar energy furry playpal) and would need a household where she will not be left alone for extended periods, and where she will get plenty of exercise and attention
