About Penny

Find a Penny, pick it up: All day long you’ll have good luck!

Anybody will be lucky to bring this Penny into their home! Don’t let that double-digit age deter you; she doesn’t know she’s a senior. Penny loves to run and play and zoom around the yard. She has the cutest play bow to signal to the other dogs that it’s game on. And if she wants human attention, she’ll put her paw on your lap and wag her tail as fast as she can. Her bright eyes exude anticipation. It’s just so adorable!

Our veterinarian said that Penny’s lab test results were “perfect,” and she is ready to spend some more quality years with her new furever family. She would do well with or without another dog. She likes to play, but she doesn’t care if it’s with a dog or a person. Penny absolutely loves to take walks; she gets so excited when she sees her leash and harness come off the hook! She is an excellent walking partner, currently walking one mile, twice a day. And we believe that she would keep on going just like the Energizer bunny!

Penny came into rescue because her human momma passed away. She is experiencing lots of new and exciting (and sometimes scary) things. Because of these changes, she takes a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but she does come around for her favorite thing: Butt scratches!

Penny jumps in the car and settles in the seat for a ride. Anywhere is fine: She doesn’t care as long as she gets to tag along! She likes to go to stores, and she does very well with the groomer, too. Penny would like a fenced yard for her zoomies, but as long as she gets to take her daily walks, she would be ok without one, too.

Penny is just an all-around good girl who will be happy to bring good luck to you! Fill out an Adoption Application for her today! She’ll be ready to go home with her forever family by the middle of April.
