Kelly is a very sweet collie puppy. She is friendly with people, dogs, and cats. She has yet to meet someone she doesn’t want to jump on and give kisses to!
Kelly is still learning basic manners and obedience but is picking it up quickly. She is a jumper and likes to put her paws up on tables or other furniture to see what’s up there, but will get down with a firm “no.” She is learning how to sit politely when she wants something instead of jumping on you to get it. Like most puppies her age, she needs to improve her leash walking skills.
She is mostly house trained but may still have an accident here or there if you don’t get her out soon enough. She does fine in a crate but will bark or stomp on the floor if she wants to get out and play. She sleeps through the night in her crate without fussing. She does not seem to be bothered by vacuum cleaners, thunder, or other loud noises. She also does not seem to have any separation anxiety.
Like most collies, she can be vocal if someone comes to the house or if there is a squirrel outside she would like to chase.
Kelly likes to play and is excellent at fetch. Another canine companion with a similar energy level would be great for her, but she would also be ok as an only dog as long as her new family could give her the attention and socialization she needs.
With a little patience and some positive training, Kelly could grow up to be the perfect companion!
