About Jeb

Jeb (or “Sir Jebbie,” as his foster mom affectionately calls him) is an old soul with the sweetest spirit! A pup who truly puts the “gentle” in “gentleman,” he always offers his paw to greet people and to show his gratitude for the attention that they give him.

Jeb’s life before being rescued was almost unimaginable, but he hasn’t ever let the tragedy of his past get him down. He’s adjusted beautifully to becoming an indoor dog, and he’s naturally very well-mannered and walks well on a leash. Now that he’s discovered couches and dog beds, Jeb loves to curl up on those whenever he’s sleepy! He’s also fallen in love with toys and enjoys squeaky stuffies the most! He dreams of having his very own toy bin to rifle through as he selects the perfect stuffie for every occasion. And Jeb loves to go for car rides—so much so that he’ll do his best to climb in the front passenger seat if he’s not wearing his doggie seatbelt!

Most of all, though, Jeb loves love. He gives the sweetest kisses, and after he’s done playing, he loves nothing more than cuddling up with a companion. Jeb absolutely adores children and plays with them so gently and patiently, but since he loves every person he’s ever met, we’re confident that he’ll be a perfect pal for any and all ages. He’s waited such a long time to find a person/family to share his love with, and we can’t wait to help him find his forever home.

Due to the way that he was treated in his past life, Jeb does have some special medical needs. He needs a forever person/family who will continue to work with a veterinarian on managing his allergies, which have affected his skin, and who will keep him properly groomed. Grooming is important for all Collies, but it’s truly essential for Jeb in order for his skin to continue healing. Fortunately, Jeb is very good about being groomed and patiently tolerates the process!
