Drax

Meet Drax

Say hello to Drax, a gorgeous 18-month-old Blue Merle Rough Collie with a sweet personality, goofy charm, and plenty of love to give. He is neutered, up to date on all of his vetting, and ready to find his forever home!

Drax is a friendly, social boy who does well with other dogs and cats. He is suspected to be kid-friendly as well, although he has not had enough experience with children for us to say that with certainty. He appears to be house-trained, is crate-trained, and does nicely on a leash.

Like many young Collies, Drax still has a little puppy mischief in him! He loves to chew on his toys and may occasionally investigate a countertop by putting his paws up, but he responds very well to correction and is learning his manners.

One thing Drax would prefer to skip altogether? Road trips! He experiences motion sickness and can become quite drooly and nauseated in the car, so his future family should be prepared to work with their veterinarian on making necessary car rides more comfortable for him.

Most importantly, Drax is an incredibly sweet, loving, goofy young boy who enjoys being with his people. At just a year and a half old, he has lots of life ahead of him and is looking for a family ready to give him the love, structure, playtime, and companionship a young Collie needs.

If Drax strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don’t wait! And if Drax is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application.
