Ash is a sweet, smart, active guy who loves to play with toys and chase balls – but is still working on bringing them back. 🙂
Ash is NOT a ‘roommate’ type dog – he is not content just to be with you. He requires active engagement, both in the form of physical and mental stimulation.
He would LOVE to run, hike, etc with you, and would likely excel at agility/other sport work.
His foster mom uses a snuffle mat to feed him, and he excels with that kind of busywork.
Ash would do best with dogs 50lbs or larger.
Ash is friendly to all people/kids.
Unknown with cats – the cat he was being tested with refused to participate in such an experiment.
Because of his drive, he may be best as an only dog unless in a very dog experienced and engaged household.
Ash does have a prey drive, and will not be able to be around chickens/ducks and requires a fenced yard.
He has had issues barking/lunging at bicycles/motorcycles passing by, but has made tremendous progress with his foster mom in improving with this behavior.
He is NOT a couch potato dog and will require an engaged family, but he will reward you in kind by being the sweetest, smartest, goodest boy.
